Meeting with Cm, Deputy CM along with district planning

July 25, 2020

Today morning held a meeting with representatives & residents of various housing Societies located in the vicinity of Dhotre Path in Model Colony, primarily to discuss the traffic congestion & chaos caused due to diversions enforced during demolition of the University Flyovers.
Also present for the meeting were BJP Shivajinagar President Ravindra Salegaonkar ji, Shivajinagar Secretary Jay Joshi and Raviraj Yadav.

Should I say finally ? or better late than never ? But yes! after ignoring Punekars for 4+ months Hon. CM Uddhav Thackeray ji finally visited Pune and conducted a meeting with elected representatives and administration to review the on ground situation of the #COVID19 Pandemic. In the review meeting I shared both my concerns and suggestions for more effectively dealing with the pandemic in #Pune in the weeks to come. From stringent monitoring of timelines for the 3 new COVID Care Centers to re-framing testing, hospitalization & treatment protocols. I reminded the Hon. CM, DyCM and all the heads of administration that #Pune is already 25-30 days behind the curve when it comes to setting up Jumbo #Covid Care Centers, and every day is costing us lives that could have been saved with a better medical infrastructure.I urged Hon. CM @OfficeofUT ji to intervene & expedite the tendering process for all 3 proposed #COVID Care Centers, and give directives so that all 3 centers are ready in the next 10-12 days..any further delay caused due to red-tape or mismanagement would be unpardonable. I also requested Hon. CM @OfficeofUT ji and the administration heads present at the meeting to share the #Pune #COVID Worst Case Scenario report with every elected member in the city, so that each of us are prepared and all are on the page while fighting the pandemic. It been 4 months since we are part of the pandemic. It is now important to re-visit and revise guidelines and regulations for testing, hospitalization & treatment protocols incorporating experience gained by the govt, administration, the medical staff and experts. I also brought to notice of Hon. CM @OfficeofUT ji that almost 40% of COVID19 deaths in Pune have occurred within 48 hours of hospitalization, many have died without hospitalization, this is a big indicator of the stigma surrounding testing & facilities at Treatment Centers. I have proposed that both the State Govt and Local Administration should now focus on a #Community Lead Initiative where citizen groups are empowered to educate and counsel citizens of their locality in early detection, contact tracing, quarantine facilities and hospitalization. I have asked the administration to ask hospitals to maintain an open line of communication between relatives of the patient and the team treat the patient. Possibly share daily updates in regards to patients health and progress. It acts as a big moral support to families.Hospitals are still charging large amounts for non-Insured patients. Few Hospitals have informed me that they are yet to receive an official GR to inform them of the treatment charges as decided by the government. I requested CM @OfficeofUT ji to urgently look into same. I would once again like to thank our Hon. LOP Shri @Dev_Fadnavis ji on whose intervention the State Leadership has acknowledged the seriousness of the #COVID Pandemic in #Pune and is finally taking proactive steps to ramp up our medical infrastructure.
